Learn the skill of charcoal-making

Fired charcoal.jpg

It’s barbeque time, but have you ever wondered how charcoal is made?

Charcoal making has always been at the heart of the traditional working landscape of Rockingham Forest and Hugh and Carolyn have been making and selling Rockingham Forest Charcoal in their sustainably managed coppiced woodland for over 25 years.

Why not come and join them for a day and learn how to load and fire a charcoal kiln?

  • Saturday 24th June 2023, 9.30a.m- 4.30p.m

  • Rawhaw Wood, Pipewell, NN14 1QZ
